Iran & Afghanistan Health Sovereignty
EARTH is a spirit-led, grassroots, global movement to improve the health and well-being of the Iranian and Afghan (Farsi-speaking) population that emerged in 2021 as part of a global trauma relief effort.
See here for a guide on how to navigate the donation page options.

When the Woman, Life, Freedom Movement ignited Iranian people around the world, a partnership formed, supported by The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM), #CookForIran, and hundreds of individual donors.
In the face of indescribable and ongoing stress & trauma, over 200 individuals in the global Persian community have trained in the mind-body skills approach.

As of March, 2026, over 12,500 persons of all ages have been served; across 37 cities in Iran & across 15 countries. The need is greater than ever; we need your support.
EARTH supports a variety of integrative health, healing, & well-being models in ways that optimize culturally congruent delivery. In relation to CMBM's work, EARTH's role is to support persons already trained in CMBM's model, in their post-training service delivery. EARTH provides infrastructure for sustainability including facilitator income, marketing/outreach, adaptation, cultural alignment, mentoring, storytelling, and more. EARTH provides this critical support to leverage community member's capacity to culturalize and share this approach alongside a wider range of stress & trauma healing initiatives with Farsi-speaking persons; to align & optimize content/delivery, build economic vitality, & more. Separate from supporting post-CMBM training services to this community (which EARTH is offering for other populations as well, see our other program pages), EARTH is working to identify funding for additional Iranian/Afghan persons to undergo CMBM training (see * items below). The need is great; there are hundreds of persons waiting, mersi/thank you for your support!
Meet Shirin who presents a short practice to get a feel for the presence and creativity of EARTH's community focused efforts. You can visit our Practice page to learn more about Shirin and see more of her and many others' work.
Here is a description of the practice (with Farsi version below): Some trauma-focused professionals suggest that our sympathetic nervous system makes us to take more space, meaning to expand ourselves and physically become bigger. Whereas our parasympathetic nervous system makes us to take less space - to move inward & become physically smaller. Neither is better/worse - we need both. Shirin calls this exercise “the bud to blossom” to symbolize awareness of times of inward/contracted and outward/expanded movement. This and other mind-body practices can help balance the two divisions of our autonomic nervous system.
