Indigenous & Tribal Communities
In collaboration with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The University of Arizona, and numerous other individuals, organizations, and funders, EARTH has been supporting the expansion of integrative health models for Indigenous populations around the world. With an emphasis on the Americas, EARTH aims to support healing, growth, and sustainable capacity for integrative health and healing models. These efforts operate from the belief that body-mind-environment exist inseparably. Using trauma-aware approaches, including a full spectrum of integrative health tools that resist overly individualistic and medicalized models of mental/somatic health, EARTH is weaving a community of awareness and healing that supports the roots and not just what is seen above the surface. Healing Historical Trauma Conference Series
In partnership with numerous Native Nations, service organizations, and individuals, EARTH has been sponsoring, organizing, supporting, and presenting at an inspired series of conferences exploring healing for inter-generational and historical trauma. Originally inspired by one our Elder Advisors, Kenneth White Jr. (Navajo), and his father's (Kenneth White Sr. (Navajo) legacy establishing Tribal Employment Rights (see here), the latest installation was held at Window Rock in August of 2025. Culturally Rooted Mind-Body Circles for Indigenous Community Members
In collaboration with the Association on American Indian Affairs and The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, this effort supports new Indigenous facilitators in their training process in mind-body medicine by providing support to lead groups while working towards Certification through CMBM's professional training program. EARTH also supports cultural integration and post-training delivery/implementation work for other leaders offering mind-body and integrative health programs for and within Indigenous communities.
